Data Center Support Specialist – USA

Job Description:

An Oracle Data Center Support Specialist will perform key roles in delivering and repairing core infrastructure & technical and logistical support to hardware focused teams within the OCI data center environments. As a skilled cable infrastructure and logistical professional you understand which issues to escalate to the appropriate internal OCI groups. You perform installations, repairs, inventory and logistics tasks for your data center spaces.

Job Responsibilities

Install, Remove, address technical issues in hardware in data centers racks without disturbing other hardware and critical infrastructure on site
Maintain asset inventory and update internal application as needed
Be accessible via cell phone and willing to work on onsite emergency as needed
Participate and complete training that aligns with corporate objectives to bridge skill gaps and learn new relevant technologies
Act within Service Level Agreements (SLA) on the tickets assigned to you in your space
Provide logistical support for on site hardware activities
Knowledge of server/storage/network/hardware preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Inventory management experience. Ordering, receiving, and shipping server parts preferred

IT Support Engineer

Define, design, and implement network communications and solutions within a fast-paced, groundbreaking database/applications company. The IT Support Engineer will work with the NetSuite IT team to deliver real time 24×7 enterprise-wide technical support for internal customers. This includes, but is not limited to, user support of business applications, solving of technical problems, and acting as a liaison between customers and resolving groups.

Maintain Support services used by the NetSuite Global Business Unit.
Provide on-site support to internal customers.
Interact with distributed team members to find solutions within an evolving environment.
Support internal customers with incident requests and properly guide users to resources and solutions.
Support high end DevOps users running on Non-Standard hardware (Windows – Mac – Linux).
Reimage Windows laptops, hardware, and software provisioning.
Gather relevant information from customers to address problems of limited scope or advance to next tier of support according to established Standard Operating Procedure.

Qualification:

Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent science/engineering field by August 2024. [Earliest Start date is June 2024]
Have no more than 12 months of professional full-time work experience in the technology field (excluding internships, research and/or teaching assistant roles, and military experience).
Have graduated within 12 months of the start date.
Have advanced computer hardware understanding.
Possess IT Knowledge (basic networking, active directory, password management, office tools)
Proficiency (i.e. able to complete a coding project with no assistance) in one or more of the following scripting languages:
Automation Scripting, MS Shell Script, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, or other scripting language
Have experience through coursework, projects, internships, and/or research with two or more of the following operating systems:
Windows, Mac, Linux

Technical Support Engineer Intern (Middleware) – Corporate Architecture

As a Technical Support Engineer Intern in Developer Tools Support Engineering, you will offer customer facing mission-critical technical support to assure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The main focus is to use automated technology and instrumentation to diagnose, document, and remotely resolve customer issues. You will be a member of the technical problem solving and avoidance team, routinely sought after to address complex critical customer issues.

Communicate with customers via telephone, written correspondence, and electronic services regarding finding solutions for technical problems as presented in Service Requests.
Manage customer expectations and ensure timely delivery of high-quality resolution of technical issue focusing on root cause analysis and prevention.
Educate and walk the customer through the problem-solving process.
Adopt Oracle diagnostic methodology & procedures when handling and documenting technical issues that align with Support processes, policies & SLAs.
Collaborate on cross-team and cross-product technical issues by working with resources from other groups.
Contribute written articles to Oracle’s Solution Knowledge base.

Qualification:

Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent science/engineering field during the 2024-2025 school year.
Have completed at least your sophomore year toward your undergraduate degree, or higher, by summer 2024.
Familiarity with Cloud computing platforms; Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Software programming concepts and exposure to languages; Python, C/C++, Java, SQL, XML, JSON, HTML, JavaScript, Shell Scripting, and J2EE Standards
Knowledge of Linux, Windows, MacOS, and Network Architecture
