GIS Service Engineer – India

Job Description:

Mainly working as Field Service Engineer to execute the installation, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting activities at customer site or Siemens Energy project sites.

Coordinating or interfacing with tools service team and taking care of high voltage tools, arranging, and properly use test equipment and tools to execute site activities for installation, testing and troubleshooting.

Completing GIS Bay or GIS compartment assembly work, minor fabrications if required, trouble shooting, and rectification of High Voltage products defect workable at customer site and advise the action plan if the repair work need to be carried out in Siemens Energy factory.

Learning and performing the test equipment operation used for High Voltage product testing, commissioning, and maintenance work. Learning procedure and methods of how to use the special tools used for High Voltage products service jobs.

Preparing and providing site reports, activity plans resource requirements and share it with the supervisor, preparing method of statement as and when required that can be shared with the customer in case asked by the customer or it is a contractual binding.

Qualification:

A bachelor’s degree or Diploma in electrical or mechanical Engineering.
Experience in high voltage products.
Experience with electrical equipment, switchgears, High Voltage switchgear assembly, monitoring and measuring equipment.
Experience in GIS or High Voltage products.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required

We are seeking a Industry 4.0 Automaton Engineer for Industrial Engineering & Process Planning department (2-4 years of experience ) for our Goa Electronics Manufacturing Factory
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring efficient and compliant manufacturing operations.

Plans, designs, purchases, and/or implements Industry 4.0 Automaton Systems on manufacturing processes in a Electronics manufacturing plant. Determines the manufacturing processes required to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification. Works with engineering to identify problems with product and performance; recommends solutions or enhancements.
Plans and designs methods to improve efficiency in productivity

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Industrial), Computer Applications, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Electronics or Automotive manufacturing, with a strong background in Manufacturing & industrial engineering, capacity planning, and systems development.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes in the electronics industry (e.g., SMT, PCB assembly, box-build, test & repair).
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Entry Level Mechanical R&D Engineer – United States

We are looking for an Entry Level Mechanical R&D Engineer.
This position will be based in Roebuck, SC

Leading new product development projects for electrical Low Voltage Power Distribution Systems, specifically Busway Systems, Bus Plugs and accessories.
Engineering innovative designs of commercial and industrial electrical products utilizing Creo.
Creating multiple design concepts & performing trade-off studies of those concepts to determine the optimal solution.
Managing and planning projects including scope of work, schedules, costs, and completion dates.
Preparing prototypes for design feasibility evaluation and testing. Preparing and executing test plans.
Working with cross functional teams to drive projects to completion.
Creating part and assembly drawings, BOMs, and Engineering Change Notices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
0 – 5 years’ experience in R&D / new Product Development Engineering
Experience with Creo or similar 3D modelling software.
Working knowledge of AC and DC Electrical System
A proven track record of developing design concepts with a comprehensive evaluation of all interfaces and contributing factors.
Strong working knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), product design and testing.
Hands-on prototyping experience.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

BSME (Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering) or BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering)
UL 857 Busway design experience.
Familiarity with North American and International Electrical Certification Procedures
Familiar with National Electric Code (NEC) including NFPA 70
Familiarity with IP ratings and IEC standards applicable to Busway.
Familiarity with Electrical circuits and analytics.
Creative and analytical thinking with an ability to work alone or in a group setting.
Knowledge of Configurable / Modular design methodology
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Thermal (CFD) simulation expertise
