The Merchant Researcher performs a variety of tasks related to the data integrity of Groupons database. Primary tasks include internet research for correct merchant details like name, address, business, website, reviews, etc, and correcting any errors or discrepancies that are found.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive internet research
Evaluate merchant quality based on metrics calculated from a variety of sources, including reviews, press, and social media
Use Salesforce CRM software to perform primary tasks, including:
Accurate and complete entry of merchant information
Database search queries
Mapping of relationships between related businesses
Merging of duplicate records
Achieve productivity and quality targets and benchmarks
Desired Candidate Profile:
Excellent attention to detail
Strong computer literacy
Strong working knowledge of internet research
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent data accuracy skills
Consistency in performance
Creative and analytical problem solvers with a passion for operational excellence
Comfort in interacting with Salesforce or other CRM software preferred, but not required
Willingness to take initiatives & responsibilities including 24/7/365 availability, including the willingness to work on weekends, and outside of the ‘standard’ workday
