Staff Data Analyst – Data Analytics and Business Intelligence

Job Description:

Identifies and influences stakeholders by recommending changes based on data persuading cross-functional teams to implement changes based on data and building relationships with executives and directors in all cross-functional areas.

Consults with internal organizations on global strategic initiatives or multi-business initiatives in two or more functional business areas by developing high-level business process plans to achieve strategic goals, prioritizing and executing work streams within global strategies, supporting the integration and prioritization of timelines, tasks, analysis, and team assignments; and ensuring strategic initiatives achieve financial goals.

Develops tools that that support decision making and business cases by summarizing needed information, determining what information must be reported, ensuring customer needs are met, and analyzing an initiative’s impact to the business based on collected information.

Develops and directs one or more work streams of a cross-functional project to achieve desired results by ensuring understanding of scope of work, organizing timelines and deliverables, facilitating meetings involving project teams to analyze, plan, and implement project initiatives; taking corrective action and reporting results and deliverables to supervisors and stakeholders.

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards.

Qualification:

Minimum education and experience required:

Master’s degree or the equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field plus 1 year of experience in data analytics or a related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field plus 3 years of experience in data analytics or a related field; OR 5 years of experience in data analytics or a related field.

Skills required:

Must have experience with: Developing various machine learning models in R and Python to identify fraud and risk

Writing complex SQL queries in various databases (GCP, SQL server, DB2, etc.) to extract the data

Building dashboards in Tableau and PowerBI to derive analytical insights;

Identifying and using the correct tools for building automation/reporting solutions

Mentoring new hires to the team with DB architecture and Analytics tools;

Delivering presentations to various level of leadership;

Implementing the best practices techniques for model testing and tuning to assess accuracy, fit, validity, and robustness for multi-stage models and model ensembles

Performing feature engineering, experimentation, and advanced modelling techniques to be used for complex problems with unstructured and multiple data sets

Working with cross-functional stakeholders in Engineering and Product to deliver new features

Analyzing complex data elements and develop summaries and extracts that are easily digestible to help the team make best decisions based off the data and Conducting exploratory data analysis activities (for example, basic statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, statistical inferences) on available data.
