Job Description:

  • Build and maintain automated solutions to improve controls and analytical processes (Python/SQL/VBA).
  • Develop services within Product Control strategic infrastructure.
  • Support the proper and correct delivery of standardised data to teams across Product Control.
  • Cooperate with the Technology department to ensure smooth integration and deployment.
  • Provide day to day support to Product Control users and assist in the building collaborative relationships between the Engineering team and the business.
  • Work closely with the Product Control stakeholders to shape the solutions to meet the requirements and comply with policies.
  • Participate in development and support of Citizen Developer framework, a coding environment easy to use and re-use components.
  • Leads projects to standardise, streamline and automate processes (SQL) working with key stakeholders in Front Office, Product Control, Independent Model Review, Middle Office and Market Risk Management.
  • Investigating short term issues as well as strategic objectives and come up with innovative solutions. Developing, testing and releasing SQL solutions for complex issues.
  • Trade data analysis and management
  • Strong cooperation with Finance IT, FO Quants, and PC Valuations teams. Liaising with business stakeholders to ensure that business and regulatory requirements are fully understood and satisfied.
  • Coordination of the development efforts across Product Control (PC) Analytics.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Knowledge of SQL, VBA, Jira, Git, test driven development
  • Programming experience in Python, understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
  • Knowledge of pandas package functionalities
  • Experience with Financial data (Trade, Position, Valuations, PnL, etc.) and understanding of it
  • Experience in designing microservice-driven system architectures would be an asset
  • University graduate from a reputed institution in engineering, finance, economic subjects or similar
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Excellent written English and oral communication skills
  • Previous experience in Valuations or Product Control is not mandatory for the role
