The Big Code

The online challenge runs for about 5 weeks in different stages.

You need to take part in all the rounds as you move through each stage and show your coding skills.

Taking part in The Big Code, getting a high rank, or reaching the finale does not mean you will get a job, internship, or any hiring promise from Google.

Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the challenge:

To be eligible, students must meet all the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled full-time at an engineering college in India.
  • Pursuing a circuit-majority course within computer science and allied branches (e.g., CS, IT, ECE, EEE).
  • Students must be full-time engineering students in India and currently in their 1st, 2nd, or pre-final year (graduating in 2027, 2028, or 2029).
  • They must be studying a circuit-based course such as Bachelors, Masters, or Integrated Dual Degree in Computer Science or related branches (like CS, IT, ECE, EEE).

Prizes & Rewards

  • Merit-based cash prizes will be awarded to 10 top-performing participants, with a total prize pool of INR 6,00,000.
  • The Top 50 finalists are eligible to receive Pixel devices.
  • The Top 15 finalists will be invited to present their solutions in-person at the Google office in Bengaluru.
  • Winners and runners-up will also receive certificates of achievement.

Who can join the challenge?

Only students graduating in 2027, 2028, or 2029 can apply. This is for Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Integrated Dual Degree students in circuit-related or similar branches.

Do we need to submit our resumes?
Yes, you must upload your resume in the correct section of the registration form as a PDF file. If you do not upload your resume, we cannot review your application further.
