Job Description:
1 Associate, Compliance & Control II
We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist 2, Compliance & Control to join our Compliance team. This role is located in Pune.
- Contribute to the compliance efforts of the assigned business unit under direct supervision.
- Assist with assessment activities to ensure business units comply with standard regulatory and policy requirements.
- Review work for accuracy with more experienced professionals and assist with drafting documentation when control changes are made.
- Analyze existing legislation, regulatory announcements, and industry practices to report on the assigned business’ current state of compliance.
- Support projects and program tasks intended to improve compliance and enhance the control environment.
- Assist with analyses of control processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Build working relationships with business unit managers to facilitate timely delivery of information and favorable conditions for compliance activities.
- Assist with assessments of the effectiveness of controls ensuring ongoing compliance with key laws, regulations, and policies.
- Prepare risk-based reviews of regulatory requirements, issues, and control gaps as experience grows.
- Assist with preparation of non-complex reporting and escalate issues to more experienced professionals.
- Contribute to the achievement of team objectives.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Business or Finance degree preferred.
- 0-3 years of total work experience preferred.
- Background in Financial Services, Audit, or Compliance preferred.
- Experience with financial services compliance and/or assigned products, services, business lines, and relevant laws, regulations, and rules preferred.
2 Specialist, Trustee & Depositary
- Assists more junior level t staff in resolving more complex queries.
- Escalates issues as needed.
- Assists more senior colleagues in the investigation of any errors on the fund to satisfactory conclusion.
- Assesses and ensures all Ownership tasks have been completed and ready for sign off, with responsibility for their accuracy and completeness.
- Ensures all required reports are completed, with responsibility for their accuracy and completeness. Interacts with senior team members to provide feedback on specific issues or technology, taking a leadership role in driving improvements and resolving issues.
Qualification:
- Modified based upon local regulations/requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 1-2 years of total work experience is preferred. Financial industry experience preferred.
