Junior Technical Consultant

Job Description:
Responsible for delivery of assigned tasks within the delivery cycle of a project. Understands several HP technologies to provide technical systems management support or deliver part of a technical design that meets customer requirements. Tasks may include software installations, performing systems configurations, troubleshooting systems errors/problems, monitoring and/or testing systems performance, data and network analysis, and contributing to technical solutions for customer environments.

Works under the supervision of technical lead and with customer nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks.

Act professionally with HP customers.

Participates as part of a team and maintains good relationships with team members and customers.

Understand HP’s strategy.

Is aware of knowledge tools and their application.

Participates in chosen technical community or profession, and regularly attends profession or community of interest events.

Education and Experience Required:

1 – 3 years of technical experience.

Bachelor or Master’s degree, or equivalent (two-year college program), obtained in the last 12 months in computer science or related area of study;

Understanding of computer science and networking skills.

Fluent English and German language skills.

Driver License (car).

Knowledge and Skills required:

Has sufficient technical knowledge to assist with the completion of specific deliverables.

Nice to have knowledge about C, C++, Perl, HTML, PCL.

Very good communication skills. Ability to communicate concepts with the team and to peers.

Able to produce basic documentation to required standards.

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the workplace infrastructure.

Nice to have an understanding of the printing and solution environment.

Demonstrate fundamental technical knowledge about IT Infrastructure devices.

Flexibility and travel required >50%.
