Graduate Engineering Recruitment Program

As a Graduate Engineer, you will be part of the Operations Technical organization, working on a variety of engineering activities that will support ExxonMobil PNG operations.

Job Description:

Develop and maintain a detailed technical knowledge of process equipment and facility systems.
Solve technical problems; analyse performance to ensure safe and reliable operations as well as identify and recommend improvement opportunities.
Participate in and/or lead risk assessments, hazard and operability studies, and incident investigations associated with ongoing operations and proposed changes.
Provide technical support to the Operation and Maintenance teams.
Coordinate field execution work activities, including oversight of contractor staff activities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological advances and changes to engineering standards.

Qualifications

Must be a PNG Citizen or PNG Permanent Resident with bachelor’s degree in Engineering (in any discipline).
Must be about to complete their bachelor’s degree in Engineering in 2023 (or) completed their bachelor’s degree in Engineering no earlier than 2020 (commence work in first quarter of 2024).
Excellent academic performance
Exceptional leadership qualities
Strong communications and problem-solving skills
Experience utilizing in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Entry Level Reservoir Engineer – USA

Job Description:

Planning, evaluation and/or execution of field development / drill well programs

Identifying key reservoir uncertainties and providing recommendations to address financial and operations risks and improve decision quality

Improving reservoir description through fluid analysis, core evaluation, well testing interpretation, and production performance analysis

Conducting production forecasts and reserves assessments to support development / depletion planning and production optimization opportunities

Developing and/or leveraging new reservoir engineering technologies to support business solutions

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required – preferably Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical

Ability to complete reservoir analytical performance prediction, asset development and depletion planning, reserves assessment, reservoir surveillance & optimization, volumes forecasting, economic analysis and data management

Candidates should be self-motivated and focused on achieving business results while working in a multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrated teamwork, communication and leadership skills are essential

Preferred:

Foundational reservoir engineering skills, such as competency in rock and fluid properties
Data analytics
Experience integrating diagnostic and/or reservoir simulation work products into reservoir engineering analysis
General industry knowledge
