Junior Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

As the world stands at the threshold of a new industrial revolution – the transition to low carbon manufacturing – the steel industry faces challenges, but also opportunities.

Engineering is at the heart of our industry and the efficiency and capability of our production facilities are the building blocks of a successful business. So, our Engineers occupy a unique position within projects. Multi-skilled, inventive, constantly learning, they manage our unique equipment throughout its lifecycle. From large scale procurement and customer focused projects to hands on maintenance, the variety of experiences here is unlike any other company.

Candidates will have the opportunity to join a development programme.

Qualification:

You must have a second class degree in one of the following areas: Electrical Engineering; Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Computer Science; Software Engineering; or other relevant Electrical / Computing discipline.
Relevant work experience 12 months, would be ideal, with the ability to work to a budget and project plan.
Driven, passionate and tenacious, your strong sense of personal accountability is bolstered by your eye for the bigger picture. Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to inspire trust and build engagement are also essential.
You’ll need a combination of solid technical knowledge and excellent communication skills. These will be key in developing your understanding of manufacturing requirements and liaising with other departments to effectively implement our systems.
