Technical Graduate

Location: Hartlepool, North East, GB

Salary: £28,500 plus £1,500 welcome bonus

The graduate programme

The roles are varied but the challenge is always the same: to develop and improve every grade of steel, so that it’s ready to meet the challenges of every possible application, from electrical use to aerospace and beyond.

Experience gained will include the following:

Planning and coordinating plant trials
Cross functional working with upstream operations and support functions such as R&D

Qualification :

You must have at least a 2:1 Degree in either Materials Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgy, Chemistry, Physics or Maths.

It would be advantageous, but not essential, for the candidate to have knowledge / experience of the following:

Steel casting and rolling processes
Welding processes
Heat treatment
Mechanical testing
Data analytics
Some working experience as part of an industrial placement
