Data Scientist, Applied Data Science Program (Fall 2026)

Join the Applied Data Science Program (ADSP) and make a positive impact on one of the most influential technology leaders in the industry. You’ll be tasked with building sophisticated, scalable and robust architecture, tools, data products, and critical data pipelines that are optimized for rapid business intelligence, data analysis, and data science. You will work with teams across Apple, using data analysis and predictive modeling techniques, to define, build, deploy, and maintain end-to-end operational solutions that have a direct and measurable impact to the company and our customers

Job Responsibilities

Translate ambiguous business problems into technical solutions by working collaboratively with business partners to design, develop, deploy, and maintain data science-driven solutions that drive key business decisions
Create tools to support self-service analytics, geospatial analytics, automated disaster recovery, self-healing data engineering pipelines, real time reporting, and decision support systems
Develop, deploy, and operationally support machine-learning models that take real-time and forensic action against a variety of threats to Apple’s ecosystem
Apply data science to core finance processes to automate and elevate capability, forecasting, accruals, accounting entries prep, IA process, risk mitigation, etc.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters in Data Science, Computer Science, or related Engineering field
Prior internship experience in Data Science or related field
Proficient in at least one programming language (Python/Scala/Java preferred)
Practical experience (gained through work/classroom/personal projects) with querying language such as SQL and extracting insights from complex data sets
Theoretical understanding of data modeling concepts, data structures, and machine learning algorithms

In this role, you will contribute to the development of the embedded systems for cellular RF transceivers and radio systems. You will work on the design, implementation as well as verification for our real-time control firmware with all aspects of embedded software development.

Cellular RF Systems Engineer Intern – Phase Locked Loop

In this role as RFSE PLL intern, you will be part of the best-in-class cellular RFSE Team. You will work closely with transmitter and receiver architecture, RF design and Silicon Validation teams. Your daily work includes the following tasks:
Learn PLL and clock architecture basics Work on real challenges to improve the PLL performance.
Help to develop use cases in Python to measure PLL performance and optimize algorithms and settings.
Develop scripts in Matlab and Python to evaluate measurement/simulation results.

Cellular RF Receiver Systems Engineering Intern DSP

Mac Hardware System Design Engineer Intern 

This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, software, and hardware engineering, learning how AI can transform engineering productivity at scale.

Job Description

As an intern, you will: Design and prototype AI-driven tools that support hardware engineers in data analysis, test automation, and debugging workflows.
Implement backend services in Python and frontend interfaces in TypeScript (React/Next.js).
Integrate databases (SQL, vector databases) for data storage, search, and retrieval.
Explore AI/ML workflows (embeddings, retrieval, summarization, code assistance).
Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to translate requirements into working tools.
Write clear documentation, tests, and deployment scripts.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related fields.
Proficiency in Python with type hints and TypeScript (comfortable reading and writing code).
Basic knowledge of web development (HTTP, REST APIs, frontend frameworks).
Familiarity with databases (SQL queries, schema design).
Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity to learn.
Able to commit to a minimum 4 months full-time internship (preference for 6 months).
Good written and spoken English communication skills.
