Co-op – Manufacturing Engineering – Multiple Positions (Fall 2020 – August Start)
The Co-ops will be assisting and supporting engineers to gain first-hand knowledge in manufacturing processes and best practices, lean concepts, engineering design, tooling and assembly processes, and assembly line layouts. Multiple Positions Available.
Job Description:
Design, Update, and Implement Tooling
Development and Improvements Production Process
Process Documentation and Data Analysis
Utilize 2D and 3D CAD Software Systems to update plant layouts
Utilize Lean Principles and Concepts to reduce manufacturing waste
Assist Senior Engineers with projects
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Undergraduate Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
Ability to work 40 hours a week (Monday – Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM) during the scheduled semester
Legal authorization to work in the United States
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Undergraduate Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
Strongly prefer a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Sophomore or higher class standing.
Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical and decision making skills, and PC skills including Microsoft Office.
Completion of courses in Machine Design, Thermodynamics, and Heat Transfer.
Familiarity with 2D/3D Modeling, Visual Basic, and HVAC Systems.
Prior Co-op Experience with Emerson or another company.
